Two Nigerian Scholars in Canada Awarded $27,000 in Academic Funding
Lagos Afrik24 -The Nigerian Canadian Association of Fort McMurray (NCAFM) has officially presented a total of $27,000 in scholarship funds to two exceptional Nigerian students currently attending Keyano College.
In an official statement emailed to our correspondent, the association’s President, Mr. Uno Monofi, highlighted that the successful fundraising campaign behind this initiative was spearheaded by Mr. Tony Ibukun Aruleba.
The statement said,” Our community has been able to raise $27,000 for Nigerian awards Canadian Association Of Fort Mcmurray (NCAFM), Schorlarship for two Nigerian students in our college here – Keyano College each year.
“With this fund, the sponsorship will remain in perpetuity.;In the past we raised funds annually.
“The man who led this successful fundraising is Mr Tony Ibukun Aruleba who worked tirelessly to make it happen, under the current President of the association, Mr Uno Monofi.
“We also want to acknowledge all the past presidents who innitiated, continued and ensured the success- Mr Tunde Yusuf, Mr Aruleba, Mr Tunde Jegede and Mr Dafe Anderson-Otunu.
“Congratulations to the entire association and to the current executives of NCAFM.
“The CEO of Keyano College while appreciating the association, marveled at this achievement given the number of Nigerians in Fort McMurray”, the statement said.
