Senatorial hopeful Olofu, Unveils Powerhouse Campaign Council

The race for the Benue South senatorial seat shifted into high gear on Monday as leading aspirant Dr. David Olofu issued a defiant pledge to dismantle the wave of insecurity currently terrorizing the region.

Positioning his legislative bid as a direct response to years of instability, Olofu anchored his candidacy on the singular, unwavering promise of restoring lasting peace to a constituency long haunted by fear and displacement.

The bold declaration of intent was delivered on the aspirant’s behalf by a formidable leadership duo – Campaign Council Chairman Sir John Ngbede and Director-General Chief Chris Adaba Abah.

As they unveiled a powerhouse team of political strategists and heavyweights, the campaign leadership made it clear that their primary mission is to transform the security architecture of Benue South through aggressive and effective legislative action.

The Command Structure

To drive this “peace-first” agenda, the council announced an extensive mobilization of key directors. Engr. Morgan Okwoche and Rose Ameh will lead the advisory wing, while the organization’s intellectual engine room will be steered by Ala’nana Daniel, who takes charge of Research, Documentation, and Strategy.

The mobilization front features a robust lineup designed to engage every sector of the electorate, with Hon. Oklo Eineje Oklo to oversee general mobilization, supported by Adegahi Abuh and Hon. Elijah Lincoln Ogbe on the youth front, while Hon. Evelyn Okwe and Hon. Ramat Yusuf lead the women’s wing.

Media and Operations

The campaign has also fortified its communication machinery to ensure Olofu’s vision reaches every corner of the district as Rexino Ejembi Ogwuche assumes the role of Director of Publicity, flanked by James Ibechi as Director of Media and Hon. Dan Atayi overseeing the New Media landscape.

Operational logistics are anchored by Owoicho Oyi (Transport and Logistics), Kelly Agaba (Support Groups), and Barrister Oji Egwu, who serves as Secretary to the Director-General.

Further specialized support includes Ene Musa Ochi for Women, Robert Obeta for Youth, and Godwin Owulo for Elders.

Rounding out the inner circle are Hon. Dennis Ogbeche for Community Relations and Samson Otokpa for Media.

Council Secretary Dr. Friday Adakole Elijah confirmed that all appointments are effective immediately, signaling the start of a high-octane drive to reclaim the soul of Benue South, our correspondent reports.
